Sikh Protesters Condemn Disrespectful Act Towards Indian Flag at UK High Commission

Sikh protesters gathered outside the British High Commission in New Delhi to express their dissatisfaction over the disrespectful act of Khalistan supporters towards the Indian flag at the High Commission of India in London. The protesters demanded that the authorities take action against the accused and ensure the safety of the Indian embassy in the United Kingdom.

During the protest, slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” were raised, and participants expressed their love for India. A man actively involved in the demonstration said that the Khalistani flag was raised instead of India’s flag, which is unacceptable, and they stand against Khalistan.

BJP leader Majinder Singh Sirsa condemned the attempt to bring down the Indian flag and appealed to people in the Sikh community to love the tricolour as much as they love their religion. He reminded people of the significance of the Indian flag, which symbolizes the safety of Indians across the world.

In London, a pro-Khalistan protestor climbed onto the balcony of the Indian High Commission and pulled down the Indian flag, an act that was captured on video and went viral on social media. The senior-most UK diplomat in New Delhi was summoned to convey India’s strong protest against the actions taken by separatist and extremist elements against the Indian High Commission in London.

The Ministry of External Affairs demanded immediate steps from the UK government to identify, arrest, and prosecute those involved in the incident and prevent the recurrence of such incidents. The British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, condemned the attack and called it totally unacceptable.
