Over 100 FIRs filed, 6 arrested in Delhi for objectionable posters including derogatory remarks against PM Modi

Over 100 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed and six individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the distribution of offensive posters, some of which contained derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister, throughout the capital city.

According to reports, certain areas in Delhi were adorned with posters bearing the caption “Modi Hatao Desh Bachao“.

As reported by Special CP Deependra Pathak, the Delhi Police have lodged over 100 FIRs and detained six people for circulating objectionable posters, including those directed against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in various parts of the city.

However, no information about the printing press or publisher responsible for the posters was provided. The Delhi Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

The police have filed FIRs in various districts of the city under the Printing Press Act and Defacement of Property Act, the authorities stated.

Additionally, the Special CP reported that a vehicle was intercepted immediately after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office. The police confiscated a few posters and made arrests.

The inquiry into the case is currently ongoing.
